TESTIMONIALS

"Thank you very much for showing us your wonderful establishment.  We were very impressed and have to congratulate you on creating such a homely atmosphere which exceeded all our expectations".  Richmond Kessie - Accommodation Development Officer, Haringey  6th August 08

"Congratulations to Queen Ann Care on their expansion, it is so reassuring to see that although they have expanded, the care for their clients has not changed! My brother has improved many times over. His confidence has improved and whenever I speak to him I now get a reply of full sentences.

Well done Queen Ann Care, I wish you all the best for the future".
M. Bansfield-Young

Client Statement

To work with Queen Ann Care in a partnership in the various activities to maintain and improve Mental Health, and to reach my potential

Message from Owner

I started the business because I was dedicated to looking after people with different needs. My initial training was in Mental Health Nursing; therefore this was a natural progression.

The business has grown steadily. I have seen it changed over the years, mainly an increase in paperwork. The main importance of what we do, however, has always remained the same. This is being with the client and talking to them on a daily basis.

I enjoy my line of work because I see the residents getting better daily, mentally and physically! I also witnessed first-hand the smiles on their faces. It also makes me happy and I encourage many of the residents to take more responsibility for themselves.

I'm dedicated to looking after the residents and the training of our staff to a higher level. I also continue with my own personal development and remain fully involved in all aspects of care within the home.

My goal for the future is to continue being with the clients to ensure that they are happy and secure

Message from the Manager

What sets us apart from the other homes is the fact that we specialise for clients with alcohol-related issues. Queen Ann care has grown steadily over the last 30 years, from offering care and support to eight clients, now to 31, in three individual care settings. We also have an exciting new development in progress.

I have a commitment to clients and staff through the development of their potential.

I encourage the clients to attend local activities on a regular basis and to become more involved the local community.

The benefit of my training is that it is residential, as well as hospital and community based. This has given me both a wide range of training experiences and the ability to understand clients in different care settings.

My personal goals for the future are to develop more supported housing that offers the clients more integration into the community.
